Striker Erling Haaland was sidelined in the last round of the Premier League due to injury, and the player is likely to be out for much longer.
Haaland got injured
The Norwegian striker was injured in the Champions League match against Dortmund, which kept him out of the clash with Leicester at the weekend. When asked about Erling Haaland's recovery, coach Pep Guardiola said: "He has damaged ligaments but I don't know how long Erling will be out.
He's feeling better now, we'll wait another week and see. Erling won't play against Sevilla in the middle of the week, because we've made it through the group stage and we don't have to risk it. Hopefully he can recover on Saturday, when City face Fulham. If not, he will play against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup (November 9).
Erling Haaland makes Man City concerned about his physical condition
Without the main striker, Man City only won the minimum victory against Leicester in the last round, with Kevin de Bruyne's goal. Erling Haaland has 22 goals in all competitions this season and has plenty of room to improve his scoring record.
In the next 3 weeks, the World Cup will start and from now until then, Man City need to play well on all fronts, that's why they need Erling Haaland as healthy as possible.
